For anyone out there that doubts the power of Karma...I offer you this little story:
My friend Glenn and his wife evacuated for Hurricane Gustav.
While they were gone they got "looted". Someone broke in and stole all the jewelry, some credit cards, couple hundred in cash and four guns. Two pistols, a rifle and a shotgun.
Glenn arrives back home after the storm, discovers the "looting" and informs the police.
The police, being the worthless idiots that they are, come by, look around, get a list of stolen shit and leave.
Couple days later Glenn's brother-in-law discovers the identity of the crack heads that broke into Glenn's home. (Small town, people brag about shit they've done...they bragged to the wrong person that happened to know Glenn's brother-in-law.)
Glenn informs the law enforcement lackies of what he's discovered. They don't really care or do anything about it.
Last night three guys in a truck are driving down the road with Glenn's stolen items (and quite a few other people's stolen items) and while reaching for the pistol to hand it to another guy, he accidentally fires the gun right into his own head.
So he's now very dead and his buddies are going to jail.
And the uninterested cops are suddenly very interested.
Only way that could have worked out better is if it had accidentally shot all three of them.
