Hey Killah

What I've learned recently:

- The Romanian word for "catfish" roughly translates as "sleepy fish", which I think is pretty cute.

- I have outrage fatigue as regards the Bush administration. It can't get any worse. Can it? I'm sick of talking about it.

- 555 points of fully painted, converted Eldar for a 40K tournament is an attainable goal for me. This will be my first ever tournament (first ever game, really) on July 25, and I'm a little less than halfway done with my chosen force. (If you're wondering... 3 Guardian Jetbikes, one w. Shuricannon; 1 Fire Prism; 6 Warp Spiders w. Exarch, powerblades, and Withdraw; 7 Dire Avengers w. Exarch, Diresword, and Bladestorm; and 1 Farseer on a jetbike w. Doom. My theme is "Speed Kills".)

News of the Mundane:
I cleaned our long-neglected freshwater fishtank recently, and Sandy and I bought a couple schools of Neon Tetras and Gold Tetras, as well as a wee algae-eater. They are so beautiful, schooling along together, and I find it deeply soothing to watch them swim amongst the branches of the new shelter stump I bought for them. One of our Tetras was swimming a little funny and was getting picked on by the other fish, so Sandy (fearing the virulent and deadly Pleistophora hyphessobryconis parasite) scooped him out and quarantined him. He's still alive and seems to be doing a little better, though, so in a few days he might be released back into general population.

I'm back on full-duty work on the trucks after recovering from a minor back injury, and it feels pretty good. Summer has been busy so far, despite the murderously hot last couple of days we had. Tips have been not-so-hot but picked up a little towards the end of the week. Sandy and I took two of my Romanian co-workers to their RMV road test recently, which was kinda fun.

More later.
