A social experiment, from Dave:
The questions:
1. When you get (or used to get) a crush on people, did it make you goofy-smily, or brooding-neurotic, or distracted-aaah! or what? Did/has this reaction changed over time?
2. For whatever reason, you're having a bad day. What do you think about to get your mind off of it? Alternatively, what do you do (if you're a doing kind of person rather than a warm-fuzzy-memory kind of person)?
3. *hands you a magic wand* OK, you can now change something about the society we live in. What do you change? It can be "I change Americans to be more like , who do Y" or it could be something totally new, like, "everyone must wear orange hats whenever I do", etc.
4. Do you have imaginary friends? I'm not talking full-blown schizophrenia here; I'm talking that you sometimes imagine, oh I dunno, lemme pick something totally wild and completely unbelievable, like imagining your pet rabbit or something sitting on the seat next to you on the T. Who/what are they, and when do you mentally conjure them?
5. Is your imagination mostly visual ("so then I thought, hey, if I put this green block next to this dark mahogany chair, and then napalmed the whole thing, I'd get--") or sensual ("--this really awesome smoky ash that'd have this funky grittiness if you rolled it between your fingers, but wouldn't feel slimy") or feelings-based ("because really, that whole slimy thing is, like, the coolest thing ever for Halloween, but otherwise, ugh, no slimy feeling! I hate that!") or something else?
