So today I dragged Sandy to King Richard's Faire, because it was close and she urgently needs a costume for ToV. Shopping for someone Sandy's size online or via catalogue is almost totally pointless, so we decided to shell out the outrageous entry fee to hit the shops and actually try stuff on. The resulting outfit is so adorable, she looks like ( Read more... )

I was thinking about Kim's look at MJ when we were hat-shopping. I think she was really on to something with the mob cap and bodice. Lucky for us, the only hat that matched the bodice was this one, and I had a pheasant feather lying around. Magic happens.

Now she just needs a character concept, heheh.

ummm. wow. Very cool, very cute.

As for the Freak factor at Carver...dunno. It's become an exhibition place for all sorts of folks, I guess. The last time I went (which was probably the last time I'll ever go there) I saw a guy leading his boy-slave on a chain, both wrapped in leather and rubber. What's "Rennie" about that? I don't care how people live their lives, but why should parents have to explain that to their 5-year-olds? I didn't see a pub sign for the Blue Oyster anywhere. CTRF has more of a Family orientation; no alcohol, free kids games, further from P-town and Boston...>shrug< Hope to see you both at CTRF!

::snort:: Blue Oyster! Oh man, 50 points for an obscure movie reference awarded to Carl!

I couldn't agree more about CTRF's family orientation, however. I'd be much more comfortable bringing my wee fairy or squire there.

Love the costume. :) but, being me, I think the picture of piper with her tongue sticking out really wins out of them. ;)

I'm dragging Mike to CTRF next sunday.. I hopes. *wicked grin* the only thing I could say to entice him was he might get a wenching.

"Yes I know. I'm not worthy."

Well, my man, I'm glad you said it first, as it'd be awkward to bring it up. ;)

Thumbs up to you, mate. :)
