So today I dragged Sandy to King Richard's Faire, because it was close and she urgently needs a costume for ToV. Shopping for someone Sandy's size online or via catalogue is almost totally pointless, so we decided to shell out the outrageous entry fee to hit the shops and actually try stuff on. As for the Freak factor at Carver...dunno. It's become an exhibition place for all sorts of folks, I guess. The last time I went (which was probably the last time I'll ever go there) I saw a guy leading his boy-slave on a chain, both wrapped in leather and rubber. What's "Rennie" about that? I don't care how people live their lives, but why should parents have to explain that to their 5-year-olds? I didn't see a pub sign for the Blue Oyster anywhere. CTRF has more of a Family orientation; no alcohol, free kids games, further from P-town and Boston...>shrug< Hope to see you both at CTRF!

I couldn't agree more about CTRF's family orientation, however. I'd be much more comfortable bringing my wee fairy or squire there.
