Yesterday was a really rainy day. Not just rainy -- downright gloomy, with Kona winds blowing plenty of vog over from the Big Island (where
Kilauea is currently going nuts). It's been darker here, but rarely have a seen a sky so uniformly gray. With a statewide flood watch in effect until Saturday, we actually postponed Camp, which was supposed to be happening right now. I may actually get my taxes done on time now!
In the gloominess, I really noticed how music the weather affects the music I listen to. Rainy days bring out Bruce Cockburn, Chris Rea, Dire Straits, Daniel Lanois. I doubt I would ever feel like hearing John Mayer, Joni Mitchell, or any slack key on a rainy day. It just seems clear. Anyone else have this?
