Quick update all....

My family, according to others, is safe and unharmed. Thank God! My younger sister has water damage to her house and I have no idea the damage to my older sisters house. Everyone is fine though. I don't know about my mom, since no one has called me, but if Missy and Amy are ok then I'm sure mom is fine as well. According to Amy, my younger sister, the damage to the southern area is MAJORLY worse than the papers or the news is telling. Please pray for all the people who were involved in Hurricane Katrina. I'm just thankful my family is safe.
On a happier side of the devestation, I read in the paper about a 13 year old boy who saved his ENTIRE family, (brothers, sisters, mom, grandma) and managed to get every single person to safety. If God can use a 13 year old boy to save people, imagine what you could do. I feel like God brought me here to get us out of that house now. If I had stayed, we all would have lived in our old house and when this hurricane hit, that would have been it. We would have lost the house and been homeless. (I wonder if my sister, Melissa, ever thought about that? If I had stayed, how'd we'd have been there....) God works wonders even when you don't see it from your point of view. I feel like a weight has been lifted off me now that I know my sisters are safe. ( I knew God would take care of my family, but you know you still worry until you have conformation...)
On a total other topic, I worked my second shift at StarBucks this morning and managed to get through one whole section of the test book. Making all the drinks, stocking, blah, blah.... They make samples of different drinks through out the day and pass them to employees and customers in the store and I had four different samples today. Soooo yummy, and I was wired my whole shift. lol I think I'm really going to love working there because everyone is soooo nice and helpful and it's really fun working all the different areas of the store. Tomorrow, I have to learn how to make brewed coffee and tea, since that was the only thing in the first section that I didn't get to do today since I ran out of time and had to clock out. It's nice though.
Ok, this has been the longest post I've done in awhile, so I'll go now. I just wanted to share the news about my family. I'm so glad everyone is ok. Please continue to pray for everyone there. Thank you and God Bless. Love, Nicole
