I would love to know who the idiots at Microsoft were that programmed the grammar check in Word 2003.
SERIOUSLY.
A comma alway goes before the conjunction in a compound sentence. Therefore, that comma you just told I didn't need..Guess what, IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THERE. The two parts of that sentence could be two independent clauses on their own.
What it's claiming are fragments are perfectly valid sentences that have a subject and a verb. At least some of the fragments are fragments, I will admit, but they mostly occur in dialogue and it's how I see the characters actually speaking. That is an exception to proper grammar in fanfic to me. Most of those are characters greeting each other by name. That is not uncommon behavior.
Also, if I ignored something once and I change the sentence, then it goes back over it, why the hell can't you remember that I JUST IGNORED THAT PART?!!
Very, very frustrating. And stupid.
