I said on facebook: " i'm disgusted with this add, what is wrong with you people?"
I realized afterward that some of my conservative friends might be angry about this, but i'm not taking it back. Seriously, what's wrong with these people?
I'm straight, but I support gay marriage, and the reason why is because I think when we deny people the right to marry who they love we are basically saying, "Your not good enough to marry someone. It's wrong" Do people ever think of what they're saying about gay americans when they say, "next you'll allow molesters to get married, and you'll let people marry animals!" They are basically saying that they consider gay americans to be degenerates, sickos, they put them on the same level as people who have sex with animals, people who have sex with children, people who commit incest.
These people who say these things about gays always claim, "I don't mind if your gay, I just can't support the marriage." Yes, you have no problem with gays, you just put them on the same level with sick criminals.
This ad tries to claim that gays are taking away the rights of straight people. What??? How? All they want to do is get married, to be treated like normal citizens. How would you feel if someone said you couldn't have children, couldn't be with the person you want to be with, and all just because, "I don't like it, I don't believe in it." If you don't like gay marriage don't get one. Problem solved. Seriously? what are you afraid of?
