Ready for nursery

Harry's new nursery uniform

Quick update. I've most likely got SPD (Symphsis Pubis Dysfunction) which means I'm in pain when walking, sitting, rolliing over in bed, going up and down stairs, pretty much all the time. I have to rest a lot, and definately no picking up of stroppy toddlers who won't get in or out of the car when you ask them to! Doing too much runs the risk of ending up on crutches - or worse, in a wheelchair - by the end of the pregnancy. It can also continue for a few years afterwards if you aren't careful.

One solution is to bring his nursery start date forward. We phoned them, and he is now going 3 mornings a week from next week. He will be going Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Parents and in-laws have agreed to have him Wednesdays and Thursdays, giving me just three afternoons a week on my own with him. Of course this is not ideal as I'd rather be with him more, but it's only short term and I need to consider my health.

So, today was his settling in visit. He said he didn't want to go and eventually relented when I said I'd see if I could stay with him. After 15 mins of sitting in the classroom with him (which was good as it gave me a chance to chat to his teacher about practicalities such as when PE is, and the situation with potty training) I asked him if he minded if I went to the toilet (with no intention of actually going to the toilet!). He said that was okay, so I went out and went downstairs to speak to the Registrar about ordering his uniform and buying a couple of bits from their second hand shop as I'm pretty sure he will change sizes over the next month or two.

Went back upstairs after his hour and a half session and he didn't want to come home! So looks like he is fine to start on Monday.

And to prove he is ready, here he is in his uniform (ignore the socks, his long grey school ones are on order). Where did my little baby go?
