We spent the last four days up at the river, which was fucking awesome.
Huzzah for relaxing, and napping, and reading (almost halfway through Les Mis again), and knitting, and naked hot tubbing, and cards, and general awesomeness.
I took some pictures with my camera phone but somewhere in the middle it got reset to super small images so only a few of them turned out.
The always lovely
belladonnalin reading on the front porch/deck/whatever that over looks the Pend Orielle river.
The main house where most of the fun was had.
I had a picture of the bunk house, and the wild flower garden, and the firepit, and other loveliness but they are too tiny to see. Alas, that means we'll just have to go out there again! Oh don't throw me in the brier patch *snickers*
While out there I almost finished a sock, but then broke one of my #2 bamboos, which put me down to just three of them so those socks are on hold until I get some more needles. I might have a few stashed away in the "oh look knitting needles at the thrift store, I must buy them" stash. but I'm not certain.
I then started a
Clapotis out of some really lovely yarn that I picked up from
theladywyvern. It'll be a mini Clapotis, more scarf like instead of shawl like, but I'm really enjoying it and it's working up very fast. Poor
belladonnalin I stole all of her rings and a good portion of her earrings to use as stitch markers, since I had nothing else to use out at the river.
And when we got back sock yarn was waiting for me. Oh fuck yeah. There will be mad sock knitting happening this summer.
