Socks!
I'm still not sure why socks had always seemed so daunting before, but now that I've made them I've decided that they are wicked easy (in their basic form), and that I should make oodles and oodles more of them. They're so satisfying to knit!

Yes, they are short and come just past my ankles. Just the way I like them
I've already got another one on the needles, with some gorgeous and amazingly soft 50/50 merino/silk handpainted yarn. I think they'll be another basic short set since I don't remember what kind of yardage I have.
I think this pattern might be the first more complicated socks I do.
And then skully beaded socks!
