*laugh* this time my post title isn't actually a pathetic attempt at a cute metaphor or somesuch.
I'm in Phoenix for a week and last night I took Lowell out for his 30th birthday - knowing he's a huge Diamondbacks fan I got us seats in the loonies section...er, the "redheads" section that is. It's a team color - and every wednesday night they have a couple of huge sections set aside for the crazies (I mean fans, of course) that bring in signs, holler and scream the WHOLE time, wear crazy clothes, etc.
He was in heaven...and that made me happy.
and I....I got to watch my first ever professional baseball game live. I even got into the spirit of things...a bit.
I'm still not a sports fan, but it was a fun night out.
Today it's back to work (albeit from phoenix) and tonight I get to go meet, learn and hopefully ride with some of the people I've been talking to for a few months from the AZ trail riders message board I've been on.
It was over 110 degrees yesterday - though I must say that aside from the air feeling thicker it didn't feel like 110 to me.
90 degrees + humidity back east felt a whole lot worse! *grin*
I'm still very glad, however, that he just got a job in Flagstaff instead.....because right now it's only 82 degrees up there!! THAT, I can handle - nevermind that it's much more frolick-able than is 110+.
Horseback riding should be interesting in that heat though! Wheeeeeeeee.
Ps - Diamondback kicked ass last night! YAY for a birthday win! :)
