Hey, you really need to put this behind a cut. Go here if you don't know how. :)

Hi,

I don't know how. I read the link and it mentions "the l-cut button" but I can't find it.

I'll remove the story for now. You're right, it needs to be covered up.

I'm going to ask one other person if they know how to do it, wait a few minutes, then I'll pull it.

Thanks for being so nice about it; I've never done this before and I'm the kind of tech expert that makes Tara look like a hacker-chick!

try typing < lj - cut text=" your header" > at the begining and then at the end < / lj - cut > without the spaces. Thank you for writing Willow/Tara will read when I'm not half asleep.

No worries-- figuring out html and lj stuff can be daunting. On your journal or f-list when you see this entry there should be an "Edit Entry" at the bottom. If you click on that, it will take you back to the posting screen. On the top right of the main window there are two options-- HTML or rich text editor. To start, rich text might be easier. Make sure you click on that so you're in that window. There should be a bunch of colorful buttons on top if you are. Highlight your whole story (everything you want behind the cut) and click on the lj-cut button. lines with a zigzaggy line on top. It will pop up a little screen that says "read more" and you can change that text to whatever you want. Then you should be golden. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your help.

It isn't perfect, but at least I have my story behind the cut where it should be. It was a journey of many stumbles! ;o)

I will be posting part 2 in either Tuesday or Wednesday for sure, and I'll do my best to make it work right.

I really appreciate your understanding; I want to do the right thing.
