A/N: All haiku are by the 19th century poet Masaoka Shiki, header titles added by hotspur18. Sakuya means 'blooming' and comes from the name of the goddess credited with the creation of cherry blossom. Haru tatsu is the term for 'beginning of spring', Iku haru for 'spring-being-gone', haru higan is the term for 'spring beyond the border of this world', and shunbun is the time of the Spring Equinox and the 'soothing of the souls of the dead'.
