I really, REALLY need a new computer. I've been struggling with this one for awhile now. It's old. I bought it when I was in my first year of nursing school. That was four almost 5 years ago. So, by computer standards, it's ancient.
Last night while trying to complete my icons for a challenge at Whedonland, my computer just stopped working. It does this all the time so I just rebooted it. Nope, didn't work. Rebooted again. Nope. This morning I got up and everything worked...except the mouse. I mean, really? But, hopefully that's fixed now.
*rolls eyes* Now that I've missed that challenge, I am going to spend the morning trying to catch up on all my land comms challenges that I still have time for.
In other news, my kiddo was picked for Honor Choir. She tried out and was chosen. She starts practicing in January. She's excited because they get to perform on school days and such. Ha!
Last Sunday was probably the best episode of the whole season. I really liked most of it. Now, I didn't like the Eric yelling at Pam and telling her to leave before he killed her or some crap. I also didn't like that both Eric and Bill were so quick to cut off their balls to offer suicide up for dear old Sucky's life. *Charlaine are you regretting giving Alan Ball your series, or what??* But overall, it was a great episode. Poor Lala though! I am excited about Sunday's episode but know it will probably only irritate me. I read in a TV guide that Sucky finally chooses between her vampire lovers and it was a picture of her and Bill together. COME ON! Also--I liked Marcus. He was smoking hot. And his voice! Why, Alcide, why??? I need to start stalking that actor and watching some of his other stuff, since I've never heard of him before.

Okay, I wanted to give a shout out to a couple of people that inspire me on here.
First, if you aren't watching lessrest's graphic com signalement, you really should. Her coloring is awesome and she has such great tutorials. She is also very nice. I have asked her a few questions about different things and she always answers. Recently, I've been really impressed with her use of light blobs in her icons. She always seems to know where they look the best. Her icons are all really gorgeous. (longerthanwedo also has excellent light technique)
Second, is azuremonkey. Her graphics journal is here: thefixedfoot. I have been using her textures for a long time. She was probably one of the first resource makers that I found when I came to LJ and the one that I use the most. Her icons are excellent--I just got lost on her page for a minute. I've missed posts! So, check her out!
FYI--my stupid mouse broke again. Luckily, I found an extra one. Okay, I have to go post a new challenge over at truebloodstills and work on land comm things.
