Quick Update of the Random Variety
Everything went okay with the CPS lady. She came in, barely glanced at the house-in-general, noticed the boys sitting in the living room playing. Then spent 45 minutes wanting to talk about me. I was all like... 'um, ok... but aren't you here to look into the kids...?' Then she left saying she would look into low-cost health insurance for me so I can get to a therapist, and no-cost driving lessons so I can get my license. As she was leaving I said 'I appreciate that you aren't taking my kids...' and she was all like 'honey, while your kids are adorable I've got too many in the system already. I don't want yours.'
The Hubby has to work Christmas Day (just 6 hours though). So we'll do Christmas with our parents the Sunday after. Hopefully we'll be going to see Les Miserables on Saturday (it's supposed to be in theaters on Christmas Day, but I can't find any show times listed for anything after the 23rd...).
Dylan's Birthday is this coming Sunday, but I think it's just going to be a low-key, at-home sort of thing. I can't believe he's going to be 3.
We are all sick as dogs, and miserable for it. Me and the boys have been running low grade fevers off and on for a couple days. Hacking like a TB ward, and congested as a major interstate at rush hour. But I think we're finally coming to the end of the cold. Thank God.
Then before I know it, it'll be January 7th and Dylan's first day of school. Where has the time gone?
