Small Steps to Progress (A.K.A: Bragging About Dylan)

The other day I was making lunch and Dylan came into the kitchen singing (without prompting/provocation/hinting) 'C is for Cookie' like it was the best song in the world. He will also pick up the alphabet song pretty much anywhere we drop off. Then when Hubby got home from work last night I had made Hamburger Helper for (his and my) supper and even though Dylan had had his own supper earlier he insisted on eating WHOLE, NON PUREE'D Noodles! Dude, can I just tell y'all how AWESOME that is. It's a freaking Huge step in his development. There was a time when I felt certain that we'd be pureeing Dylan's food until he was old enough to do it for himself. But if he's willingly chowing down on whole cooked noodles then maybe we won't be...

I just... You guys. This is literally what we've been hoping for for 2 1/2 years now. Cross your fingers that by Christmas we won't have to blend any of his food!
