I'm gonna go ahead and cut the whole thing
Last week my thinky thoughts centered on Sam and his possible destiny. This time, as I'm too angry to even want to think about Sam (and anyways I try to play fair), it's Dean's turn:
Facts:
1. Castiel said Angels are the 'Agents of Fate.'
2. Castiel said Humanity/Earth's Fate rests with Dean
3. Both Uriel and Castiel could sense when a fellow angel was there
4. Dean seemed able to sense (in the final hospital scene) when Castiel was about to 'disappear'.
For those people still following along at home, my thinking goes Thusly:
Dean is obviously a Righteous Man (deemed as such by both Heaven and Hell if they both agree that his shedding blood in Hell did indeed Break the First Seal), is it therefore possible that he considered worthy of wielding some (maybe in the future all) powers contributed to The Angelic Garrison.
For arguments sake let's say that Ruby *turns 3 times and spits, throws salt over left shoulder* is Sam's 'Giles'. What's to say Castiel isn't Dean's? Ruby is teaching Sam how to utilise his Demonic power, so maybe Castiel is doing the same for Dean (and hey if there's a little bit of *WinkWink NudgeNudge* going on no one can blame them.
I think that's probably all for tonight, I may re-visit this topic later.
