Travel plans? Calling all americans and canadians!
So...
I'm planning a trip. I've never really done travelling. I finished school and went straight into a job so never reaaly done the student/traveller type thing. I've done a lot of europe anyway through family holidays and the like, so I'm thinking of heading the other direction and travelling across the pond, to tuor the good old continent of north america.
I've started planning where I want to go (I'm not gonna be able to do the whole 'Lets just see where my feet take me' thing) and I've got a basic idea, but I'm not sure if I've missed any must-sees, or if there's a place that really is not worth it, so I thought I'd open it to the flist. Any recs or unrecs as the case may be? Any ways to get between them? Any suggestions whatsoever?

The only plan so far is to try and catch an NHL game in as many places as poss. Otherwise it's just a buch of places that I think might seem exciting. Seattle has Starbucks, and possible day trip to Forks (I'm a geek I know!), Chicago has a cool library (Busmans Holiday and all) Montreal has a distant cousin of mine and the Montreal Canadians! Any recs or unrecs as the case may be? Any ways to get between them? Any suggestions whatsoever? Help!!!
