I got accepted into the Vet Prep Program at CSU! That means I'm guarenteed acceptance into vet school for the Fall 2010 semester! Woot WOOT!
Woot Wootie Woot Woot Wooooottiee Woot WOOOTT!!!
According to the student guide into, it is described as:
The College receives many more qualified applicants than can be admitted. The Vet Prep program offers an opportunity to recruit top students with a guaranteed admission. In addition, the College is strongly committed to enhancing the diversity of the veterinary program. You were selected because of your outstanding application in addition to your disadvantaged background. The typical admitted Vet Prep candidate has a disadvantage claim, a stellar general application, and some evidence that he/she could benefit from academic strengthening prior to matriculation in the professional program. In other words, the only reason you didn't get admitted outright was because of a hint of a need to improve your academic preparation. That's what the Vet Prep program provides, in addition to mentoring, academic support, and a social support network.
Yay for me! This is a huge relief to say the least! No more worrying about Master's or PhD programs and how I don't have the right pre-requisites or experience, no more worrying about having moved our butts out here for nothing!
This is as good as getting accepted!! Fall 2010!!!!
