Sam knew he shouldn't.

The whole situation was a bad idea, but he couldn't help himself. There was just something about Stiles. He hadn't been able to put his finger on it just yet, but he had decided he wanted to know more about the teen that had wound up in the middle of this supernatural mess.

Stiles had just gotten home and tossed his bag onto his bed when his phone went off. He was hoping it was Scott telling him he decided not to ditch him for a make out session with his girlfriend and that yes he did want to grovel in the awesomeness that was one Stiles Stilinski.

Sadly, it wasn't Scott, but he did smile at the name that came up and he couldn't help the way his heart skipped in his chest as he typed in a reply.

Just got home. What's up?

While waiting for a reply, he flopped onto his bed and pulled out one of his textbooks to finish up what was left of his homework.

Sam smiled at the quick response from the teen. After reading it over though, he wondered if his interest was one-sided.

Sure, Stiles had called him handsome, but that didn't mean he was interested in him.

Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he typed out a response.

I still owe you that drink. Think you can get away from your dad?

When his phone beeped, he snatched it up and read the text. Then read it again. And two more times after that as a full blown grin blossomed across his face.

You bet I can. Where do you wanna meet up?

God, Stiles had it bad. He didn't even know the guy, who was way older than he was but so good looking and here he was planning on going out for a drink. Granted it would be coffee or something since he couldn't actually drink, but that so wasn't the point.

Sam laughed a bit at that, almost instantly responding.

This is your town, Stiles. You tell me.

He didn't want to imagine where this was going. Or, rather, where he wanted it to go. He had to keep reminding himself that Stiles was seventeen. Almost a full ten years his junior. It couldn't go anywhere unless he wanted to go to Hell for being a pedophile.
