[Personality] Itachi's personality is in direct contrast to his abilities as an S-rank missing ninja. Upon hearing his name, its strikes a sense of fear and unease within the hearts of people form his world. He was, after all, a notorious homicidal murderer. However, in reality Itachi is a very beautiful and gentle individual. He is actually a pacifist, something that was branded into him after seeing the bloody horrors of the Great Shinobi War when he was four. With being a pacifist, Itachi is very non-confrontational, and thus would rather talk his way out of a situation, or walk away form it if the opportunity arises. His partner from the Akatsuki, Hoshigake Kisame, is the more forward of the two. Itachi's favorite word is heiwa or simply, “peace” (tranquility). It is a dream that Itachi knows, at least in his life, he will not see, though still strives to make it a reality for all those he loves.
Though Itachi is very soft-spoken, he is also mysterious. He never allows his true intentions to be known, even by people whom he feels he is safe with. He will easily lead people on, though hardly ever with lies. Itachi just chooses to be selective about the information he gives out, is all. He can be rather neutral in his expressions, however that doesn't mean he is incapable of them. There are things that can genuinely surprise or please him. Mainly, those are the times when the nature of humans go against everything he has ever been taught about them and how selfish and foul they can be. No one can really escape this rule; not even himself.
While Itachi is a good person, he will not go out of his way to help those in need whom he hardly knows. However, if he happens upon a situation in which someone could use assistance, Itachi will have no hesitation in helping out (after he's assessed the situation, of course). And, though Itachi does do his best to make the right decisions, he doesn't exactly have the best track record of going about the right way to do them. He is very independent and feels he can do things for himself, without the help of others. Because he is intelligent, that is usually the case and Itachi can handle himself with no problem, however there are skills and things he could work on when it comes to people.
Contrary to popular belief, Itachi is capable of love, and his care for his younger brother, Sasuke, is not the only thing he thinks about. Its said prior to the Uchiha massacre that Itachi had a lover (though it was never mentioned who), but due to the crisis he had to eliminate them along with the rest of the Uchiha Clan (it was never specified how closely related they were). However, Sasuke was not the only relative Itachi had, and thus the only person he really had to live for. However, his ultimate goal was not only to protect Sasuke, but Konoha as a whole, it being the city he had grown up in and come to love. Itachi also had made at least somewhat of “friends” in the rag-tag group the Akatsuki, though most notably Hoshigake Kisame, his partner. Itachi allowed Kisame to see parts of him that others were not, such as him crying (which Kisame was quick to point out).
Though mysterious and secretive, it is at the very least somewhat easy to tell if you are a friend or foe with Itachi... provided he's not attempting to keep you in the dark about his alliances.
[Specialties/Abilities] Itachi has Incredible speed and strength for someone his size. He is a genius in every sense of the word; Itachi is not only intelligent, but has the ability to quickly learn anything--especially with the help of his Mangekyo Sharingan eye, which has the ability to copy anything. Most of the Uchiha Clan only have the chakra to activated when needed--though Itachi had reached a level with his eyes thanks to training and his own skill that he could have them activated all the time, resulting in wandering around with a crimson gaze. The Mangekyo Sharingan can copy anything: handwriting, martial arts moves--as long as whatever he copies can be performed by him. Example: Itachi can watch a cooking show and cook the meal shown. However, he could not watch say, Harry Potter cast a spell and copy it, when Itachi has no magical capabilites.
With his left eye he could use the technique called Tsukuyomi, which trapped the receiving individual into an illusionary world with inverse coloring of black-and-white. It has a red moon in the background, casting a red glow on the illusion, in which Itachi can trap the individual in what seems like endless torture, or replaying a traumatic event over and over again. The technique feels as if days have passed to the recipient, however in reality, only lasts a few seconds.
In Itachi's right eye, he can use a technique called Amaterasu, which whatever is in its field of vision can be ignited in a jet black flame, a flame that can burn through anything--even fire itself. The flames are said to be as hot as the sun. It is said to burn for seven days and nights, and nothing can extinguish it, not even the coldests of waters. The flames, however, burn slowly, so whomever is caught in the jutsu does have the ability to remove the item of clothing if it happens to catch onto that first. However, they cannot escape as long as they remain in Itachi's feild of vision. This technique, however, uses a lot of chakra, so Itachi does not use it unless in dire circumstances.
His final Mangekyo technique was Susanoo--a technique which was said made Itachi invincible. It requires both eyes to use, and manifests a humanoid being. It is a spirit--so it requires the user to release their will and give up their life energy to the spirit in order to use its protection. Its body can not be penetrated by large, heavy objects, or even techniques or attacks. It wields a shield and a sword--the shield possessing the ability to deflect all attacks, and the sword with the ability to sent anyone is slices into "a world of drunken dreams" for all eternity. Susanoo is also known as "The Raging God of Battle". This requires all of the remaining chakra of the individual, and is used as an absolute last resort.
Itachi is mainly a Genjutsu user (the ability to create illusions), however he is just as skilled in Ninjutsu (elemental techniques), and Taijutsu (physical combat). The Uchiha Clan are primarily fire users, but Itachi has been seen also using Water techniques as well. He is able to form hand signs at blinding speeds.
On the topic of speed, Itachi's speed is so fast that even other uses of his Sharingan (which is able to copy movements as soon as they happen), are unable to catch him. He is able to travel from one place to another in short distances that it looks almost as if he is teleporting. He is proficient in all weapons, though his greatest is a katana. While Itachi is very fast, he is not very physically strong.
Another few things of note, Itachi has a terminal illness, which during his fight with Sasuke was what led to his downfall. He does his best to keep it hidden, but takes a lot of medication to fight it (most likely natural substances and herbal teas). His eyesight is also rather poor, as continued use of the Sharingan eventually leads to blindness.
[Affection] Itachi wasn't given a lot of affection as a child, so... feel free to give him some? He probably won't respond back in turn, but, you never know!
[Fighting] S Rank fighter in his world. He's not particularly strong (as in, if he and another character got into an arm wrestling match, he might actually lose if the other person is pretty strong), but he skilled at his talents, extremely fast, and has many abilities that make up for it.
