rain rain and more rain
I hate rain - unless I'm properly wrapped up and going for a real walk. Otherwise, I prefer to stay warm and dry at home. Today is just such a day. It a fine rain which penetrates to the skin no matter what waterproofing you may have.
At least I will be able to stop using gray water from my bath to water the garden!
I keep remembering my walk on the White Cliffs of Dover - and that hot,sunny day was less than a week ago - but a world apart!
I did get a shock when walking the cliffs tho - and not the sheer drop to sea level!! I got a text from Orange France telling me the costs of making a call from that country to the UK - despite the fact that France was 22 miles across the English Channel and I was still firmly in England. Does Orange France have a mast near Dover? Spooky! I can't imagine a signal being able to cross the Channel: it's difficult enough to get a signal if you are only a few miles from a signal mast!
Does anyone know? Seemingly, people in the area have to all buy Vodaphone mobiles or else they are charged international rates!
