I was looking at synonyms for "wife" today. I like almost all of these more than "wife." Particularly "apron" and "helpmeet

cooney sounds like it's half pet name and half derogatory word.

"what's that cooney doing over there? hey cooney! get over here and make some pies."

"how's my little cooney?"

i looked it up and it didn't have anything on it.

it could also be a good adjective.

I also liked that the antonym of wife is husband. It's more of a counterpart than antonym. The opposite of mom isn't dad. Or is it?

Yeah, I agree. The opposite of a wife is probably a young girl who's being raped.
