Random Thought Night - Reflection Edition
Even if I see a old picture of my parents or grandparents when they were younger than me - even when they were little kids - they will always still look older than me. I see pictures of my parents and grandparents when they were my age and they still look old in my eyes. And I can only picture them with the same personality they've always had.
I have been giving "thumbs up" in pictures for at least 20 years.
There are things I've forgotten about that I only remember when I see it on video. Even then, I don't know if I'm remembering the last time I watched it on video or the actual moment.
My family only really used our camcorder for five years (generally 1988-92). The period following that I refer to as our dark years, as there weren't many pictures that were taken in the mid-1990s either. Family issues. It's probably better those days are forgotten anyway.
I was a real Mama's boy when I was around 10. Real naive. It's painful to watch some of the videos now because I find myself so annoying, but then I remember I was a kid after all. Still, I can totally understand why I was picked on in school.
I think my real personality change came around the time I got into theater ten years ago, but there are things I do now that I still feel like I'm totally naive about. Even after all I've experienced, there are still some things about which I just have no clue.
