Another exhausting weekend, but it was mostly my fault. It was pretty positive overall.

Friday night, Erin, Jenny B and Co. came down from Milwaukee and caught my play. I was so happy to see them and I only wish we could've spent more time together. The show went really well and I'm glad they enjoyed it.

Saturday I visited my parents for the first time in a few months. It was pretty much same ol' same ol'. The basement got a bit flooded from the rains last week but everything's dry now with very little damage. I picked up a few more things to keep in the House of SAF. I'm pretty surprised at how much crap I left at my parent's place. Got to talk a lot with Mom, Dad and Grandpa. That was nice. Mom really misses me. Like, so much that I worry about her.

Saturday night was closing night of Vitality V. We had the pleasure of hearing that our play, KINGS OF CABBAGE, won the Audience Favorite award for the festival and will go on to the Abbie Hoffman Died For Our Sins Theatre Festival next weekend. Our slot is at 2:30am Sunday morning. We've been told we actually may not even go on until 4am. I know. You're saying, "Excuse me?" But we've been told that that's actually "prime time" for the festival. Who is to know? We'll see what comes of it, if anything. Anyway, we partied at the RVP until 3am listening and singing karaoke and then went to the Oakwood and drank some more. Probably was a bad idea. I didn't get home until 4am.

I had two Segway tours today at 10am and 2pm. Almost got there late from oversleeping (imagine that). Was hungover much of the day but had okay tours. Crap for tips. A few difficult patrons. And it was humid. But I knew it was going to be a difficult day two weeks ago when I scheduled myself. Oh well; I made it through.

Next weekend? I still plan on performing at Faire on Saturday (I have no idea of any better day to do it instead), with Abbie Hoffman REALLY late/early afterwards, and then Sunday is nothing all day until the CUBS GAME. This will be the first night game I've ever attended. Excited? Yes.
