I can't believe I feel asleep reading Deathly Hallows last night. I tried so hard to finish it all this weekend, but I just couldn't, especially with my full day yesterday (Segway 9-5 and one-act rehearsal 6-8). That's probably why I fell asleep.

At any rate, it's still amazing to me, the popularity of this series. To my knowledge, there was no way I could get the book at midnight in Chicago without a reservation unless I wanted to wait for hours. It's still all anyone was buying on Saturday when I went back to Borders and got me a copy. Five people were reading it in my train car on the Brown Line on Sunday evening.

I'm avoiding all mentions of the book, spoilers or not, until later tonight, when I will finally finish it. My whole desire to finish it has to do with the fact that the last two books were spoiled for me before I read them, mainly because I didn't read them right away. (I read the first six for the first time around the time the Goblet of Fire movie came out.)

So far, I've enjoyed the story. Some things I didn't expect; some I did. We'll see how it all turns out.
