This is not healthy.
Remind me never to work three twelve-hour-days IN A ROW again. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't on my feet all day at the day job AND on my feet all night at i.O. Chicago.
Unless we don't get out early from work tomorrow (which I hope to do), I get to experience a fourth (and final) no-foot-rest day. My dogs haven't been killing me like this since my first month at Gold Leaf. Tonight got to the point where I'm not even enjoying the free shows because my feet are distracting me. But it was bound to happen. Plus, I'm exhausted cuz now I'm not getting to bed until 2:30 each night and I'm not getting enough sleep and THEREfore, I am getting sick. Darn immune system. Quit breaking down! *punt*
I've given up on TM and the Museum. The Museum job starts January 3rd and I haven't even HEARD from them regarding even an interview, so whatever. And Noelle is actually encouraging me not to work at TM because of the AWFUL politics and drama in the office, some of which I got to see first hand a few Thursdays ago. So, on Tuesday, I start my new position at the same job. They're moving me into an office job where I'll be arranging quotes on installations. Sounds exciting, huh? But, it's a raise back up a few bucks to make sure ends are meeting a little bit more. Although I'm maintaining some kind of fitness in the warehouse, I can't pay my bills on the wage. Plus, I think I'll get over my dislike of the electric telephone if I use it enough at work. And I'll get to talk to more people. And I'll get to be online all day!
I think, in the end, this will be the right road. Since they're a smaller company, they'll allow me days off at the last minute if I have some gig actor-related AND they won't fire me if I have to take a week or two off if it's a longer gig. This is the kind of work I think I need now. AND I need to talk to Carl this Saturday before or after the show. I could really use that part-time bartending gig he's offering come February. Of course, I just watched the bartender at i.O. tonight make his way through drink orders at break-neck speed and got overwhelmed watching him. I'm sure it's more intimidating to watch than to do. At least, I hope so.
Okay, I got to get the standard five hours of sleep I've been getting this week.
How I long for Saturday morning...
job,
