I have this puzzle that's been in my room since I was about 8.  Surprisingly, it's actually solved, still solved today.

It's not your ordinary 2-d puzzle, no, it's a three dimensional globe puzzle.  I had never seen a three dimensional puzzle before, and still have seen nothing like it before.  It's very bizzare - each piece locks into the next one, each piece reliant on the next one to stay up.  If any piece were to go missing, the whole puzzle would falter and topple over.  Each piece is equally important, each equally insignificant.  As long as each piece is willing to accept that, the puzzle can stand (and stay up for years and years).

Ah, if only it were that simple.
