Description of Canon Character: (As altered for his different path in life) - 5'10", slender but well-muscled, cheekbones that could cut glass, shoulder-length brown hair with soft curls in it, piercing blue eyes. William dresses in stylish garments, always in soft and comfortable fabrics.
Your "AU" Change: (the way that they're different from the normal canon) - William diverges almost immediately after embrace from the canon. Drusilla has a vision of William supplanting her place in Angelus' affections, so she essentially dumps him with a letter of explanation and warns him away from her, Angelus, and Darla. Without the early influence of a sire, William finds his own way and manages, after a few false starts (i.e., killings) to figure out how to feed without killing. He decides on a moral code of sorts, he will only kill criminals, otherwise he'll feed by seduction, leaving the victim alive. He gets 'found' by Gabriel Penn, Angelus' first childe, who takes William under his wing and develops his potential. In the process of avenging himself on the woman who broke his heart, he accidentally crosses a vengeance demon who as a curse gives him a soul. Eventually Penn's violent nature causes he and William to part in 1977, and William has been alone in the world since.
Writing Sample: (of or about your character; should be around 300 words) William looked down at the young lady who'd just recently provided him with the sweet nectar he needed to survive. She was a little pale from the blood loss, and the perfect column of her neck was now marked with two tiny marks from his bite. She was, for the moment, unconscious. He admired the curves of her nude body. He didn't have long before he needed to depart, but there was still time for his little ritual. He went to the bathroom and came back with a warm wet washcloth and a towel. He cleaned her, gently, and then dried her with the towel. He shifted her to lie more comfortably on the bed, then pulled the covers over her. His fingers stroked her long black hair, and then her pale cheek. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a plastic bag full of fresh rosebuds. His long fingers pulled the petals away from the buds, and scattered them over the bed, over her body and around her head like a fragrant halo. Satisfied, he took a moment to look at the pretty vision on the bed, then slipped quietly out the door into the night.
Location: Each player gets to have a copy of one 'place' from home in the game setting. Please describe what you'd like to bring here. Well since he diverged so early in canon, I'd like to have the Victorian home he and his aged mother shared.

NPC Staff/Use? Y and N - There is a maid in the place who keeps things going and keeps the house clean but she does not speak.
Purpose? This will be William's home, and he may also invite guests to stay.
Description: This is a tidy Victorian home. When William was alive, he lived here with his mother, so the home is modest but well-kept. Downstairs is a sitting room, a study, a small dining room, a kitchen, and the maid's quarters. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a bathroom (the bath and sink are here, hot water provided by the kitchen stove charger. The toilet is in a small outhouse in the back yard). Out back is the outhouse, a garden, a vegetable patch, and a chicken coop.
Who can post there? Default is 'anyone' unless it's a private location.
