Random Thoughts

I haven't posted here in a while. Last weekend was fun, but it went by too fast and was a blur. It was fun catching up with some people and getting to hang out with some friends. It was also a good reminder of how stupid I can be sometimes in terms of what I say. I'm a fairly straightforward person in most all situations so sometimes I'm good at embarrassing myself or jumping the gun on things. I'm not one to naturally sit by and watch things happen.

There's been a lot going on in the news recently. The pope died, it's sad. He was a good man, and it's a history making time for the Catholic Church. The next month will be an important time for them, and it will be interesting to see about what goes on.

Terry died too. I'm not really sure of what should have happened in that situation. I think there were two questions that needed to be answered in my mind. Who's paying for it? And to the person paying, Should she live? Someone was paying for her to be alive, and they were the primary stakeholder in my opinion. On one hand, she was still alive, but on the other, she couldn't function. There are sometimes when we have to measure if the price of living is greater than the benefit. In her case, I think it wasn't. I personally would rather die then be nonfunctional like she was and alive. I can understand why her parents wanted her to live, they are her parents. There was a good amount of controversy about her husband and their relationship. I don't think his own feelings should have interfered with any decision making, but it's possible it did.

UNC won the NCAA Tournament last night. I am happy for them, but I don't know if I am happy about it. It is a triangle/ACC team, but on the other hand, it's UNC. Anyways, that's all for now. My stomach is telling me it's lunchtime.
