Somebody already thought of it
"It" being my brilliant idea for a wheelchair moped that switches effortlessly from manual to electric. Awesome. Now they just need to make it affordable. Oh yeah, and make it hold a charge for longer than "up to 10 miles." That "up to" stuff is bullshit. It means "holds a charge for 10 miles on a good day if you weigh 80 pounds and travel on perfectly smooth, flat terrain, e.g. the mall. Oh yeah, and only use it on low power, too." If we were on perfectly smooth, flat terrain we wouldn't need the power in the first place!
