Yorkshin Photoshoot Pics (Part 1 - solo/duo pics!)

May 18, 2019 10:42

Just before Golden Week I received the pictures from the Hunter x Hunter photoshoot back in early April. Of course I had other things on my mind back then, but now I finally took some time to look through them properly and select some to post! It's so hard to choose pictures though, because they're all good! ;_; The photographer was really skilled and took a lot of time setting up each shot, so the day went by really quickly >w<

Looking back I realize I didn't get any full-body shots because we were so focused on taking pictures of Kurapika's chains ^^; I'm glad I bought them though, it looks so cool >w<  The only problem I had was that the size of the rings was way too big (all of them seemed male-thumb-sized), so they fell off my other fingers all the time. I guess the only solution for that is to make your own >w<

I didn't bother editing any of these pictures because they look so good to begin with >w< And Kurapika is supposed to look tired as heck throughout this arc anyways, so actually don't mind the dark circles around my eyes showing (I actually emphasized them a bit with makeup, lol)

Leorio and I were done changing first, so we took some pictures in this corner that really reminded me of this piece of official artwork that I love. The bench was a bit too small to really replicate the pose, though.

We found the newspaper and old book prop in the cosplay studio's prop room (Hacostadium Tokyo), you were free to use anything as long as you put it back. The "newspaper" was actually a paper bag and not a newspaper, but hey, whatever works!

I love looking short, haha. (I was even wearing 3cm heels ^^;)

Wrong outfit for this pose, but there was a church-like corner in the studio, so we couldn't resist trying it anyways.

From the scene where Kurapika explains his abilities

We had a lot of fun trying to replicate specific scenes from the series, and everybody had brought so many props of their own to make it all work, too!

I brought my chocorobokun boxes for Killua, and Yume-san made the bunny lollypop. I still can't get over how cute Gon and Killua are >w<
(This was me during most of the day, lol)

Guess the scene
;_;

Solo pics! While Killua looks cute or cool in almost every pose, we realized that Gon barely has any signature poses! In a lot of official art he's just standing there with both his arms down, and any close-ups of him ended up looking like passport photos or mugshots xD So we went for a picture of the 1999 anime DVD box art, but we still didn't know what his pose was actually supposed to be. And Leorio looked like a walking suit commercial in every pose, lol

I usually don't like my extremely hollow back for cosplay because it makes me look massive when my clothes fall straight down my back, but it actually really works with this outfit because it emphasizes the waistline >w<
