The Joys Of A Quality Computer

May 24, 2010 00:11

I've just finished going through the last of my CD-Rs, and now I'm sitting at just over 1,400 songs. Altogether, though, that's only taking up 4GB out of the maximum 30GB afforded by that particular drive. I could (and will) go through the rest of my CD collection, which has to be at least another 100+ discs' worth of songs, and I'll probably still have plenty of room for even more future growth after that.

Have I mentioned that I love having my own personal computer again? Because I do.

I haven't counted the exact number of discs I've thrown out yet, but I'd estimate at least 40-50, maybe more. I can probably now condense every CD-R I still have down to a single CD wallet that holds 60. Before, my CD-R collection was spread across five wallets - two 12s, two 24s, and the 60 - with maybe a dozen empty pockets among them.

I think it's time to start refilling this new void. I should start brainstorming some new mix CDs to make.
