"Oh there you are, finally," Giles said when the elf finally shimmered into view. "I was beginning to think the invitation got lost in the mail.

Kael'thas stared at the human for what, later, he would consider to be an embarrassingly long pause. Finally he frowned, confused no matter how long he thought on it. "Invitation?"

"Well, business proposition would probably be more accurate, granted..."

"Business proposition," he echoed, feeling more than a little off-balance. "Regarding which business exactly?"

"My business," Giles replied. "The Magic Box. I'm rather tied up with rehabilitating a dark sorceress at the moment so I fear I can't give it the hands on attention it deserves."

Kael'thas could tell an opportunity when one was neatly presented to him; he nodded to the human, deciding not to divulge his current predicament for the moment. "I see. And you need someone to stand in your place for the time being?"

"Yes. The business is fairly self sufficient, but I'd feel much better if someone was there to handle any bumps in the road that might come up." Giles paused. "The island its on is a little on the strange side, but at least it's not on a Hellmouth."

Glowing green eyes slowly blinked in bemusement. But as he quickly considered his options, it really did seem as though there was a reason for this - things rarely fell into place so easily, so perhaps he was meant to go where this was heading. If this human was leading him into a trap, then he wouldn't be without options; he glanced at one of the viridian spheres floating around him to reassure himself of their presence, each one filled with magical essence to see him through an attack of most sorts.

"...Excellent," he said finally. Hellmouth? "And where would I find this island?"

"Depends on what day it is," Giles half muttered. Aloud he said, "Fandom. It's rather easy to get a portal there, so..." He gestured at the many around them.

Kael finally realized what this place was, and felt very silly indeed. "Then I suppose I shall accept your proposal," he said with as much dignity as he could muster, drawing himself up a little straighter. He nodded to the human. "To whom do I owe the pleasure of dealing with?"

"Rupert Giles," Giles introduced himself.

"Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider," he returned with a half-bow. "Is there anything else I should know?"

Giles handed over a folder. "This has the information on current employees, and what their strengths and weakenesses are. Andrew in particular is an excellent employee but you need to keep an eye on him or he'll be off summoning flying monkeys."

Kael smirked. "Ah, one of those," he said knowingly. "I'll be sure to watch him then."

"There's also information on where to find accomodations -- the building I had my flat in will probably have openings."

"Much appreciated," he said sincerely. "Shall I expect to hear from you in the future?"
