Gotham City, August 3, Friday morning FHT

Time was flying. And judging by the information calls Bruce made to a Fandom number to check in on whether or not he was experiencing any time displacement (because of course he did that), time was flying a lot faster for him than it was for his friends back in school. That was useful. It meant he could get away with being a little lax in his correspondence to focus on more pressing matters. (Sorry, Fandom friends.)

But still, he figured he owed it to people to at least send out a carefully considered form letter that he could send out through various forms of communication (principally e-mail, letters on Wayne Foundation letterhead, or letters on stationary that had been given to him as a gift). But he'd be doing it from the heart. No, really.

Each one he sent was personalized with a "Dear [person's name]" and continued as followed:

"I'm very sorry I haven't been in touch before now. With a few weeks working in New York, then finally getting settled back in here in Gotham City, I haven't had much time to sit down and write anything. But I promise to communicate more regularly from now on. I have to admit that I may need some prodding, but I can always make time to catch up with a dear friend.

New York was a good experience. Not only did I learn a lot from Doctor McNider (not the least of which was that medicine isn't for me), but I had a couple people showing me the ropes of surviving the big city social life. I'm sure that will come in handy very soon as I get more into organizing Wayne Foundation events.

Classes will be starting up at Gotham State later this month. It's a little strange to know that I've been in Gotham the whole summer and I haven't even been at risk of mugging yet. Not that I'm afraid of the average Gotham street tough after surviving Fandom for so long. Still, it's nice to be in a place where I don't have to prepare for gremlins or invasions.

I'll leave it there for now. I'll have more details later on. For now, I'm just about to head over to the Foundation. Apparently gala events don't plan themselves.

There were a specific few where he actually signed it 'Bruce' to add a slightly more personal touch. All in all, he felt that it was possibly a little overwritten and he could have taken the time to add personal flourishes to each one. But he actually did have to get out to the office, and then, well, he found an expert knife thrower in a traveling circus to train with for the next week before they moved on. It would be a shame not to take advantage of that.

[OOC: Most people Bruce knows and didn't actively dislike got this message! Due to time differences, letters will move up and back faster than you might expect. E-mails will travel at a fairly traditional speed. I assume that phone calls won't be hilariously uncoordinated due to timing issues.

All of which is to say, open for e-mails, letters, or calls, although standard work-time SP warnings apply.]
