A cave in the Rocky Bits, Wednesday night
Bruce landed in a place that was significantly less wet than he was used to when he activated Caritas' Sanctuary Spell. Less wet and much darker. Fortunately, between a tiny flashlight he always kept in his pocket and, you know, the ability to touch things, he was able to figure out that he was inside a cave. It seemed to be a decent size - nothing huge, but big enough for some large animals to live comfortably - so he started to make his way around very carefully, more concerned with tripping over a bear than walking into a wall.
After an hour of searching the cave, memorizing it, and - most importantly - assuring himself that he wouldn't have to fight an animal to survive, Bruce found a narrow, winding path. It was just wide enough for him and his broad shoulders to fit through. And after a few minutes of proceeding slowly, he saw moonlight.
When he finally emerged from the cave, he realized it was a spot in the Rocky Bits on the island that he'd jogged past more times than he could count. Somehow he never realized there was a cave right there. And if he hadn't noticed it before, what were the odds that someone else had?
And then an idea struck Bruce. A hidden cave could prove useful to someone like him....
