Summary: Sequel to More Than Anyone

-----------------------------------

Skandar was sitting on a bench in the middle of Kensington Gardens, staring at the statue of Peter Pan. He'd sat in that same spot more than once, only this time he was alone. This had been their spot, until he had gone and ruined everything. Skandar hadn't seen Georgie Henley since that day in her apartment, which was about a month ago. And he hadn't been the same since. He had spent every waking moment trying to figure out how to make things right between them, but Skandar was at a complete loss. He had talked to Anna the other day and couldn't help but ask how Georgie was doing. 'Her heart's broken, Skandar. How would you be?' But Skandar knew exactly how Georgie was feeling because he felt it too. He'd had quite the revelation recently while attending a premiere party. As always he was surrounded by beautiful women who would throw themselves at him. Normally, Skandar would wallow in the admiration, but the entire night he'd been rather put off and irritated by their antics. And he just wasn't having a good time. Someone had asked him what was wrong. Skandar had replied with the first thing that came to his mind. 'I'm sick of all this...and it's not what I want...' Skandar had been completely in shock at his answer, but knew it was the truth. And when he thought about what had caused his recent disdain for the life he had become accustomed to, Skandar thought of her. Georgie. He loved her. And life just wasn't the same without her in his life. It seemed as if nothing could make him smile anymore and everyone noticed it. From Will and Anna to his publicist. Nothing meant anything without. Skandar didn't know it took him so long to realize it, but he did know that he was afraid of it. He'd never been in love before...never wanted anything as much as he wanted Georgie. And it was very odd for him to think of her in such a way after being so friends for so long. It felt odd, but wonderfully right as well. Skandar was scared, yes, but the thought of finally growing up and settling down seemed less frightening if he shared it with Georgie. She knew him better than anyone. He never had to pretend to be anything else than himself with her. He loved her and that was why Skandar had told his agent and publicist he was taking a very long, much needed vacation from the movie business, if not permanent. He was giving it all up for her. And hopefully, Skandar could get her to listen. Will and Anna were having a party at their house tonight to celebrate their pregnancy. Skandar knew that even if Georgie didn't want to see him, that she would go for Will and Anna. He wondered if they had done this purposefully. Will and Anna found it difficult as well, trying to plan nights with Georgie and Skandar separately and having to explain to Colin why Aunt Georgie and Uncle Skandar weren't speaking.

Sighing heavily, Skandar stood from his seat on the bench, glancing one last time at Peter Pan. Skandar hesitated for a moment, thinking why Peter Pan, if he truly loved his Wendy, wouldn't make the ultimate sacrifice for her. To never grow up, to always have fun. He smirked finding it amusing that such a short time ago he had lived by that philosophy. Love, Skandar thought, will be an even bigger adventure.

------------------------------------

The Moseley home was pouring with people. Friends and family all wanting to share the joy of Anna and Will's pregnancy.

"It's amazing...I can't wait to be an aunt again..." Georgie said sitting on the porch swing next to Anna, who had needed to get some air.

Anna smiled, placing a hand over her stomach. "I know...I'm so happy...I just hope my body isn't as weak as it was before..."

"I hope so, too...It was horrible the last time...you were practically confined to your bed until Colin was born..."

"Yes...but Will did take wonderful care of me, even when I was utterly horrible towards him...I pray that my hormones don't get that out of control..."

"So do I...I don't think I can take it..." Will said, as he closed the screen door behind him. He leaned down, kissing Anna's lips gently and then smiled at Georgie. "You can take her if she gets too out of hand, right Georgie?" he winked.

"You married her..." laughed Georgie.

Anna raised an eyebrow, "Whose side are you on anyway..."

Georgie rested her head playfully on Anna's shoulder, "I love you..."

"Traitor," mumbled Anna and then asked, "Where's that son of ours?"

"Killing me in the video game with his Uncle Ben...I'm a little afraid that he finds it just as fun..."

When Anna and Georgie laughed loudly at this, Will stuck his tongue out at them and then pouted. Anna took his hand in hers, kissing it gently, bringing a smile back to his lips.

"It's such a lovely evening outside...you can see every star..." Will commented, rubbing his wife's neck.

"Don't stop..." she murmured.

Rolling her eyes, Georgie asked, "Do you two want to be alone?"

"I think you might be leaving us alone anyway...look who's pulling up..." Will said, motioning towards their driveway.

"Subtle, Will...really..." Anna said narrowing her eyes at her husband, who just shrugged.

"It's fine, Anna...I'll be fine...as long as you two don't leave me alone with him..."

"We won't..." promised Will. He then turned his gaze to Skandar who was walking towards them. "It's about time...I thought you weren't going to come..."

Embracing Will, Skandar replied, "Sorry...lost track of time...hope I haven't missed much..."

"Not really...You are the last to arrive though..." Will replied.

Skandar walked over to Anna and kissed her cheek. "Haven't missed me too much I hope."

"We always miss you...there's plenty of food and drinks inside so help yourself...Tilda, James and Andrew were asking for you, as well so make sure you find them and say hello..."

"I will..." replied Skandar and then he glanced at Georgie who was seated beside Anna. "Umm...hello Georgie..."

Swallowing the lump in her throat, Georgie said, "Hello..."

Nodding, Skandar excused himself to get something to eat and say hello to the guests. Will and Anna released a breath that neither knew they were holding and they both looked at Georgie, who was gazing out into the distance with an unreadable expression on her face.

"I guess we should go inside before they send a search party out for us," Anna said, standing.

"Coming, Georgie?" asked Will.

The sound of Will's voice brought Georgie out of her reverie and she answered, "No...I think I'll stay out here for a bit longer..." She saw the concerned looks on Will and Anna's faces and gave them a reassuring smile. "I'm fine...Really..."

Although neither really believed her, Will and Anna returned her smile and went inside.

------------------------------------

Eventually, Georgie had made her way inside to the party. She spent most of her time talking with Tilda and James, trying as best as she could to avoid Skandar, but Georgie felt the need for air arise again. This time she made her way to the Moseley's back yard, which overlooked the water. Georgie sat herself on the steps that led up to Colin's playhouse. She shivered a little as the cold night breeze filled the air, wishing she had brought a heavier sweater with her. As she sat deep in thought, Georgie didn't hear the sound of the back door closing or the approaching footsteps.

"It's a bit chilly out here, isn't it?" Skandar said.

Without even glancing in his direction, Georgie nodded and he came to stand beside her. He leaned against the side of the playhouse and watched as she fidgeted with her fingers.

"Why are you out here?" Georgie asked quietly.

"Because I wanted to see you..." he replied.

Placing a hand on her forehead, Georgie sighed. "Skandar...please..."

"I miss you, Georgie..."

"I don't know what you want me to say to that..."

"I know I don't deserve it, Georgie and you have no idea how sorry I am for what I did...but I'm asking you to please listen to me...and don't say anything until I'm finished."

She was silent for quite a long time. There was a debate going on inside her. Skandar had been right, he didn't deserve her time, but Georgie could hear the pleading tone of his voice.

"Fine..." she finally answered.

"I used to know exactly what I wanted...and I had no problem with the way I lived my life. And then...you and I...that night changed everything for me, Georgie. Everything. The past month has been torture...I can't stand not having you in my life...I hate it...Nothing makes me happy anymore because all I can think is that I'll never get to make you smile again or to hear your voice...or even to bloody argue with you anymore."

Shaking her head, tears fell down Georgie's face. "What do you want from me?"

"You..." replied Skandar. He came around to face Georgie and cupped her face. He wiped away a few of her tears with his thumb. "I want you, Georgie Henley."

"We can't be together, Skandar. Your career, your reputation...that's all you've ever wanted...and I just..." but Georgie was cut off by Skandar as he rested his forehead against hers.

"There is nothing more important to me than you...I'd give up anything and everything for you...My reputation doesn't matter...and as far as my career...Let's just say, I've already told my agent I'm taken an extremely long hiatus...more than likely a permanent one. I've had my success, but I'm giving it up...I don't want any of it...I just want you, Georgie...I...I love you...I'm in love with you..."

"Skandar...I can't...this..."

Forehead still resting against hers, Skandar asked, "What else do you want, Georgie? I'll do anything...Please...don't shut me out of your life..."

"All I've ever wanted from you...is your heart..." whispered Georgie. She pulled back from Skandar and saw tears and pain in his eyes.

Skandar brought a hand to Georgie's cheek and stroked it lovingly, "You have it, Georgie...you've always had it...it just took some time for me to realize it...”

“I thought...that you...I’m sorry for...all the horrible things I said to you...”

“I deserved them...” replied Skandar and then he asked, “Can I ask you something?” When Georgie nodded, he took her hands in his own. “Do...do you still...love me?”

“I do...I love you, Skandar...more than anything...”

Smiling, Skandar wrapped his arms around Georgie’s waist when she stood from the playhouse steps. She in turn brought her arms around his neck. Leaning down, Skandar brought his lips millimeters away from Georgie’s, his breath sending chills down her body, and after searching her eyes for a moment and seeing her pain and devastation gone, he captured her lips with his own.
