So a guy in a castle won't give us our new arrivals until we help him find his lost treasure.

Then some merpeople won't give us our new arrivals until we help them find their lost treasure.

Are we going to do fetch quests the entire time we're on this journey?

So far, no. I don't think we even found the rose last time, the guy had just misplaced it or something. Pretty sure he planned on keeping us trapped if we didn't find it, so it's probably a similar situation here.

Yeah kind of, now that you mention it. I didn't really consider that- it's sort of elaborate for someone to be playing with all of us.

The monster attack could have ended badly, instead they veered off. People went missing and turned up in a maze, now we're having to look for a lost trident. They might not be playing with us, but there has to be some purpose to all of this.

My theory's that we're stuck in a really cliche fairytale. Meeting the Beast sort of clinched it. I wonder if this next part's going to be anything like The Little Mermaid. I don't think they're going to look like ningyo.
