That's about what I was thinking. The problem with that, of course, being that if people are disappearing the same way we came here, we have no way of properly verifying if that's what really happened to them.
'Tis certainly a possibility. Unless they simply left the caravan, which would surmount to being eaten by any other creature in the wilderness. In the end, I do believe our friends have become delicacies.
I dunno. Like you said, that would require leaving the caravan...and I don't think they're quite that dumb. We haven't even been here long enough to get fed up.

If you believe that the number of caravan inhabitants is decreasing, do you not think that is cause for investigation?

You really think it's that big of a deal? Maybe they're just hiding out somewhere. This is a pretty massive place, y'know.

Nonetheless, it is possible something may have happened to them--especially considering the...difficulties at the time of the caravan's departure.

Is someone you know gone?

-- Not that I've been keeping track of him - I ran into one of his friends and he mentioned that the kid was missing.

...though if there's more than just one kid or if it's been a while since he was last seen, that might be reason enough to be suspicious.

[ oops did he just say that ]
But like I said, I think other people have gone missing too. You haven't noticed how quiet it's been?

[ come on, even kanji has noticed the disappearance of some individuals around here. ]

I can't imagine most people doing something as ill-advised as disembarking while we're trying to travel.

[ unless he saw his ugly senpai walking next to the caravan, then maybe. ]
It makes sense to assume that if we vanished from our homes with no explanation, then we can vanish from here in the same way.
