Entry 006 [VOICE]
[There's a bit of rustling. Clearly, someone's there, but that someone isn't talking. Yet. The someone takes a deep breath, and, having resolved to get all this off his chest, he starts talking.]
So, you guys know how I was asking about Kurt after...you know, the big fight and everything? Yeah, so, there's a reason behind that. I think I should...tell everyone. I know I technically didn't lie, but like, you know that feeling you get in your neck when you haven't been completely honest with someone? Or maybe it's in your chest or something. I don't know, it's somewhere in that general area and it, like, it hurts.
I've been feeling that lately. Like crazy.
So I'm gonna come clean. Everything's on the table and-- uh --and you guys can all look at it.
I'm guessing you guys all know I went to help Gau when he got caught by the vampires, right? And uh, that's how I got bit too, I guess. I can't really remember what happened but I was out in the forest or something and then I was in a box and, well. We got away and other than that one guy trying to make me eat all the time (I guess he's the one who bit me? I don't know) I was kinda chilling on my own for a while. I didn't eat anything.
Which is probably why...
[There's a choked noise. More words want to come, kind of need to come, but he really doesn't want to say this.]
I was so hungry. I didn't want to hurt anyone or anything, least of all-- I just didn't, okay? That's not my thing at all. I'm not like that. I'd like, beat the crap out of a guy if he made fun of my mom or something, but I wouldn't freaking bite him. So when I tell you guys this, you gotta, you know, get me. I'd never do this if it weren't for being all...vampirey.
Anyway.
I saw....Kurt. He was standing there all...human, still, I guess. I don't think he saw me. I think he was looking at all the fighting and just...I don't know. He was probably scared. I know he was when I got a hold of him because I could t-- ...taste his pulse and it was racing and he kept scratching at me and God, okay, you know how I said I didn't want to hurt anyone? More than anything I just wanted to freaking stop and I couldn't and it was...
[There's a soft sniff.]
Gau came and helped me. He pulled me off him and I...I ran away. That was the first thing I did when I realized I just sucked all the blood out of my friend, I ran. And Gau, I mean, he was great, he's like, the best guy, you know? He wanted to get me some animals to...to eat and I said "no" because, like, I think I ate all of Kurt and that was what made me go back to help him. Gau did some sort of distraction so I didn't get shot and I...I brought him back to the city.
They said they never found his body, but he was just bleeding so bad and I don't...
[Finn sighs heavily. His urge to speak is gone and now he's tempted to just turn the junogam off. But he's too damn polite to leave things without at least trying to apologize.]
I'm...I'm sorry. I'm sorry for what I did and for not telling anybody and I'm sorry that I couldn't explain it any better than that.
