Is there anything I could do to help out around here? I ate a lot and I haven't even done anything since getting here.

Usually how long do we stay in a village before moving on?

Time between and at villages tends to vary. A few days at most in one place seem about average, I think.

[ He's sticking to text since he realised that he can't really control what he says but typing is fine. ]

Do strange things tend to happen at every village?

[and she hasn't quite mastered the typing part. also honesty is the best policy doesn't change her speech patterns much]

Quite often, yes. It varies in what exactly; some are worse than others.

[ Allen hopes she doesn't take offense in the fact that he's replying in text but he thinks too much and when he his brain to mouth filter isn't functioning it makes things a bit...awkward. ]

...should I expect it to last the whole stay then?

[ Aerith's voice is soft and she tries her best to sound reassuring and gentle ]

Are you okay? I'm sure you'll be able to help out with things when things settle down a bit.

Huh? I'm fine, miss. Please don't worry. [ This is exactly why he is typing because he would not be able to pull off that white lie in audio. ]

I was just hoping there was something I could do to help out around here.

I'm sure there will be things you can do to help out soon...

[ And now she can't help but tease him, just a little ]

My room could always do with a quick dust, heehee!

I'm not sure how gentlemanly it'd be for me to rummage around a lady's room.

...sorry, I didn't really understand the first part. That's your identification?

Yes, I arrived just a day ago. I don't have much experience with guns though.

[aw crap, civilians. he keeps forgetting.]

my service-number is 11282-31220-JD. i'm an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper in the rank of a Lance Corporal, serving in the United Nations Space command. my call-sign is "Rookie".

if you want to help out and have any kind of combat training or other related abilities, there is the local patrol team under Sgt. Gabe Weller. we are running short on men right now. if there is something you want to help with and have the abilities for, this would be a suggestion. contact Sgt. Weller if you can.

we can provide weapons if necessary, although we are low on resources there, too.

[ Um...he gets it, mostly. ]

I'm trained, where can I find Sgt. Weller?

I don't think I'll need weapons. [ But then again he hasn't tried invocating here yet. ]
