[The names ping her before the voice even has the chance to penetrate. Sorry, Fang, but your little boy voice doesn't ring too much of a bell for her at first, and takes her a few seconds for her to even begin to register it as being eerily familiar. She talked to you old self a few times before you went off and eloped with Vanille. But at the mention of Vanille, she's smart enough to put two-plus-two together, because who else would be with Vanille? Even so, her voice is hesitant, because she knows she very well could be wrong. She hopes she isn't.]

…Fang? …It is you, isn't it? And Vanille's with you? Is everything all right? You guys aren't hurt, are you?

Remember what? [Vanille picks up on the change in tone, because she's perceptive like that, but she doesn't know how to deal with this. It's awkward, and she still blames herself for so much. So for now she'll just answer the question, until she can figure out how to face the other thing.]

I don't see why you wouldn't have. You vanished not long after I got here, so I never really got a chance to talk to you, but the Caravan is funner than it looks. I don't think I've ever seen so many different places before. I know this world isn't home, but I don't see why we shouldn't enjoy it while we're here.

[A beat.]
