I'm not sure why they're all so long all of a sudden, but I don't think it's any of that. And things have been strange enough lately that I've given up questioning it. Things become easier to deal with that way, I've found.

Even still. (Did he now? I'm sure once he sees what you make he'll change his mind on that.)

Yeah, well I managed to screw up to icon, so...XDD (Total coincidence!) justice_by_coma October 8 2010, 02:11:43 UTC

YOUR MESSAGE:

Maybe the world can make clothes grow? (That's not anything I've ever heard of. It seems kind of impractical...)

Or are you still the same height??? That's something that might be happening--SHRINKING. (Though my clothes fit the same way as ever, so maybe not. I'd notice if I was shorter.)

Peck-san did! he wasn't rude about it, exactly, but it was like he implied I wouldn't make good enough ones. Or that they wouldn't be stylish! (Who worries about style here?!?!?!)

ffff that's fine, I almost gave Gau a tiny Ana by mistake myself. XD; thebooksaysso October 8 2010, 02:20:56 UTC

YOUR MESSAGE:

I would assume I'm still the same height, but I haven't really measured myself recently.... That might be something to think about, though. It's about as likely as everything else that's happened so far.

Well, anybody who complains about a lack of style will just have to go out and find their own clothing. And good luck to them.

You know he's going to mess up your pants measurements because he's a stick, right? justice_by_coma October 8 2010, 02:30:17 UTC

SUBJECT LINE: SHRINKING (?)

YOUR MESSAGE:

I don't think you're old enough for osteoporosis, so if you were shrinking, you should try to measure it. (Maybe against a doorframe? My mother used to do that with me. Maybe with a pencil? So the caravan-people won't be upset by wall markings?)

And that's EXACTLY what I thought! He was worried about ruining his suit, and then he refuses a perfectly good option to get a spare suit to save his for special occasions that he might need it for! It didn't make any sense! I don't think Peck-san realizes how long he might be here for!
I'm really glad you don't make frivolous decisions like he does, Anathema-san!

YOUR MESSAGE:

If anybody other than Cassandra complained about my marking up the walls I'd have to wonder what they were doing snooping about our place to begin with. That is a good idea, though. But if I am shrinking I think I may have to find whatever is responsible this time and hurt it. Badly.

I don't think any of us truly realize how long we might be here, to be honest.... But thank you. I do like to think common sense hasn't COMPLETELY died out since we got here.

She might have to wait longer if the Raikou apper gets in. His cosplay is strenuous. justice_by_coma October 9 2010, 03:46:21 UTC

Cassandra-san is your roommate, right? (?) You don't think she'd mind would you? If you explained and everything? (Mine is this big hulking American who wants to eat pizza. But he's nice enough. I don't think he'd mind if I had to measure something important like that. If anyone should shrink it should be him. He's HUGE.)

Anyway, if something's responsible for making people shrink it's probably too powerful to confront like that directly. (Do you really think you could do that, anyway? You don't have any training, do you?)

And please! Practicality is key when living on your own in a strange place! I don't know why nobody else seems to notice that, though. The thing I can't understand is what incentive the Caravan-head might have to actually take us without any compensation. It's really fishy.
So be alert, Anethema-san! If someone's going to be taken off-guard it won't be us!

She is, yes, and she'd probably help with it herself if I explained. She's been very sweet. (Which American is this? Not one of the military boys, is he?)

I wouldn't worry about that. Even if it is, everything has some sort of weakness. And I think I've actually gone against worse things bef-- I still have a few tricks up my sleeve, unless this world decided to go and strip those away on top of everything else.

Oh, believe me, you're not the only one still wondering about him. I can be careful if you promise to be as well. Alright?

That's good, then! Having someone help should make it more apparent if there's something wrong!
Do you mean the not-robot-guys? Because he's not. He's just this really tall American guy. (I think he's older than me.) Hudson Finn-san? He doesn't do much except eat, and sleep, and do dumb things to reconcile with his friends like dress up as pink rabbits (which is WEIRD) but he's a nice guy.
He has to get home before his girlfriend has a baby! Even if he's irresponsible and not very neat, the dedication he shows his friends seems to indicate he will be an excellent father. (And he has a really great name for his daughter, too.) If he doesn't get back in time, I don't know what will happen, but it seems to be giving him purpose.

Hearing you talk like that makes me want to ask if you're sure you have nothing to do with the world of Nabari. (I know that will sound strange if you don't.) It just sounds familiar. Raikou-san talks like that when we do wakachi duties. (Or "talked like that" maybe. It really feels like I haven't seen him in a long time.)

I'll be careful as long as there's no reason not to be.
I don't really try to get into trouble, but I can't stand seeing innocent people getting hurt, either. In that sort of case, I won't hesitate to put myself in danger if it means even the slightest benefit or protection for the weak.
So please understand, Anathema-san, I'm not trying to make you worry, but I can't just stand by as a member of the wakachi and let any instinct for self-preservation destroy the good work I can do.
Even if I can't be as good at it as Raikou-san, my duty is to protect the outside world, and there's a lot of meaning for me in the work I do.

When I do return home, more than anything, I want to be able to stand by Raikou-san's side knowing I've done my duty!

Oh! I hope we get to that witch as soon as possible, then. The birth of his daughter would be a terrible thing to miss....

And I'm afraid it does sound a little strange, because I've never heard of the world of Nabari. Is that where you're from? (Wakachi duties?)

To be honest? I think I know a little how you feel. I could never sit back and just watch things happen if I knew I could do something to prevent it. And from the way you talk about this Raikou of yours I'd say you do him very proud. But I'm still going to worry regardless. If you ever need help with anything, I'll always be more than happy to help, whether it's needed or not.
