Girls! Girls! Girls!

Okay. I'm not sure how much of this posting is meant to remind me, years from now, of all the times I took off my clothes in public, or if I actually believe some of ya'll will turn up at a show one day. Either way. Here are some burlesque shows I'm in, and you should attend, over the next several weeks:

Wednesday, November 19. Barbary Coast Burlesque presents a benefit in honor of Madame E, a burlesque dancer who is fighting breast cancer. The show is at Annie's Social Club, things will kick off around 9PM, and it'll cost you at least $8 at the door -- additional donations accepted. Not only will there be many lovely burlesque performances, there will also be a special performance by Live Evil. This is the band I dance with every now and then, the one that performs songs written by the lead singer when he was 14. I'll be both burlesquing and go-go dancing with the band, so please come to the show!

Friday, November 21. It's Hubba Hubba Revue: Girl Gangs! While I will not be donning black leather, I'll probably be stabbing something. The show is at the DNA Lounge, doors open at 9, band starts around 10 (Thee Merry Widows), burlesque starts around 11. Get there before 9:30 and it'll cost you $12, and after that it's $15. I cannot express enough how fun these monthly shows are, so if you haven't been before, there's no time like the present. If the present is next Friday.

Monday, December 8. If it's Monday night in Oakland, it's gotta be the Hubba Hubba Revue. Doors at 9, show at 10, and it's only $5. I'm going to do one of my favorite numbers, and I'd love for you to see it. I'll be the very first performer, so get there on time! Come! Bring friends.

ETA: The show on 12/8 is at the Uptown Club on Telegraph in Oakland.
