Hotch

Alcuin couldn't deny that he felt some anxiety upon getting a phone call from Agent Hotchner, asking if he would come to the FBI offices.

They found Pascal's body. But no, that couldn't be right. They couldn't know what Alcuin had done. If they did, they wouldn't be asking him politely to go somewhere. They'd be showing up at his home with guns and handcuffs.

Maybe they had a lead in the case. Maybe they'd tracked down the hit man who had killed Anafiel. Maybe they even knew who had hired him. Though that idea as well made Alcuin anxious, because he was afraid of receiving verification that Pascal had had nothing to do with it.

In the end, he told himself that there was no use worrying. He was good at hiding his emotions when he needed to. So when he showed up in Aaron Hotchner's office he was, by all appearances, calm.

"What can I do for you?" he asked.
