After Alcuin
left Daniel's house, he was really in quite a state. His clothes were haphazardly on (his shirt, in fact, was inside out), his face still flush with some horrid mixture of arousal and embarrassment, expression wavering uneasily as if he were trying not to collapse under the weight of some emotion.
He made his way toward the main path of the island, anticipating going home to his empty, empty house, and felt like he wanted to bury himself in the earth instead.
