Jack's suggestion for a temporary remedy to Alcuin's grief had been to get stoned. It seemed, at the time, as serviceable a solution as any, and so Alcuin had dutifully followed Jack from the Compound to his and Logan's home. In truth, he was simply relieved to be anywhere but his own empty house, or worse, Giles' empty
"Give me just a second," Jack said before he ducked inside. Moments later he returned with Logan's bong.
"I thought this would be a little more effective," he chuckled. "Logan made this a long time ago."

"It's good," he said tightly. "It's Nancy's plants."

Knowing the plants Nancy had left behind...it wouldn't take much.

He brought it to his lips again and breathed in, managing to inhale a large amount this time without coughing, and then blew some smoke into the air. He licked his lips and closed his eyes, waiting to feel it.
