So few are willing to take responsibility...this world, no, this universe...is the worse for it.

So many accept things as they are, no matter what the impact on all, without question...

Something is very wrong in us if we do so without regard for anything.

[He's watching you like a hawke but he'll answer this. Because that's how he rolls.]

Well yeah, I can see how that's bad. I think it's sad when people don't take responsibility for things they oughta. I mean, you gotta do that if you wanna get anywhere.

Quite. How is it that such a simple thing is so rare in this world? Or in any world.

Well maybe it's gotta do with how people grow up. Sometimes people ain't got a choice but to be responsible for things.

There is no other choice.

I can actually agree with you there.

[He should smack himself every time he said that.]

Yes...yet it seems that in practice, those words are lost.

Maybe it seems that way, but I think everyone's got an opportunity to learn about responsibility if they're willin' to take it at some point.

To learn...yet there are few to teach.

Probably not always like you'd teach in a class. Not all life lessons oughta be taught in a classroom.

That is not what I mean.

Well okay lemme explain it another way.

What I mean is it ain't somethin' we can always teach someone. You can't sit 'em down sometimes and talk with 'em and expect for 'em to understand. Sometimes, they gotta learn themselves. They might be too young, or somethin' needs to happen to wake 'em up. But everyone's different and takes it in at different speeds. Not a lotta people live the same way.

And yet who teaches when such ignorance prevails?

It'd be up to them. It's a win or lose thing. If they ain't got parents or people around 'em in general to learn from then it's somethin' they gotta learn from themselves or they can't do half the stuff they got the potential to do in their life. They could take the hint or sink.

One would think that the concept would suppose pass/fail on the world, yet it seems that many are able to survive with no sense of responsibility.

[He is amazed by how much he's kinda agreeing, this is a world record. Because Mac's and Cyrus' relationship end in clashing ideals 88% of the time.]

True, and it's sad. But I've known a lotta people, some bein' my friends, who had a lot on their shoulders growin' up. It's a matter of dependin'. I don't think they've experienced life if they ain't learned one way or another about responsibility.

It is a matter of existence, or it ought to be. We are all of us responsible for the world.
