High school football game of the week on CSS. It is that stadium! The stadium next to which I lived two years ago. How things have changed during the past 24 months. I was pretty much beaten down to that point that year though the recovery process had slowly picked up; I was just starting my teaching stunt at the business school with practically no business experience; I would swamp myself that semester and piss away my good 4.0 gpa; I was desparately looking to work for anything as an intern and had absolutely no idea nor confidence what job I was going to land on.
Two years later, there are so many thanks to give. Myself for not giving up and righting the ship. My 150 students and tutees who let me feel hope. Drs. M and C for giving me the teaching job. Prof. G not only for hand teaching the survival philosophy but for the stage to shine. Mr. and Mrs. E for the summer work experience and a very tough life lesson. My parents for learning to respect my decisions. Ms. A and D for tolerating my wrong key plays. Mr. D for the rent room. The lady at Crystal on the strip. Dr. S for the career advice. Dr. Z for the help on job hunting. Ms. M and Mr. D and the bank for offering the job. My Team 8 for winning the 2nd place in the bankers' competition. Mr. O and Ms. M for showing the path to the future. And yes, the future.
